Lucia Cordaro is a singer
songwriter from Chester, North West England. Born in 1976, she is a devoted
single mummy to her beautiful 5 year old son who is her life.
Lucia started writing songs from as early as 15 years old and it has been
her hobby ever since.
She graduated college 1n 1998 as a qualified sports therapist, aerobics
instructor and with an NVQ3 in Leisure and Tourism. She has worked in the
fitness/leisure and tourism industry for most her life and worked her way up
the ladder from Leisure Attendant cleaning the changing rooms to Leisure
Manager of various leisure centres up until she became pregnant with her
child. Lucia has worked in Greece and holiday resorts all over the Balearic
Islands, worked in London in one of the largest gyms in the world and worked
all over the Northwest.
Lucia had her first breakthrough when Duffy recorded and sang her song "I
Melt" back in 2004 and got her first publishing deal. Lucia made the semi
finals in a popular UK song writing competition three years on the run! She
has enjoyed working and writing with other songwriters internationally and
locally and has a couple of songs she has co-written with local artists on
iTunes. She released one of her favourite songs "Silent Prayer" back in
2013. She wrote and performed this herself and even directed and starred in
the video. Lucia is hoping to redo the video in the near future. She
presented her own radio show for local radio station Lache FM where she also
did some voiceover work for them and went on to do a radio skills training
course. She has also been a guest on several local radio shows and had her
songs played on Radio Merseyside, Lache FM, Dee 106.3 and Flame.
As well as being a full-time stay-at-home mum, Lucia works part-time and is
in the process of starting her own party business. She has written three
children's books, one of which she wrote for her son when he was just age 3!
Lucia made recent world news when footage from her security camera was
released and the story went viral.
She explains "I captured something on my cameras that looked a bit like a
fairy, I thought people would be interested in it so sent it the media, but
unbeknown to me the footage got released that day with reports claiming I
was convinced I had captured a fairy!
This was simply not the case
and I had said all along it was probably just a butterfly! The stories
seemed to go from bad to worse with people getting thousands of hits on
their channel promoting something I had never said!"
Lucia is hoping to release another song soon and there are talks at the
moment of creating the video for it.
